I was born and raised in the city of Beijing. After spending the first 22 lovely years in my hometown I came to UK in 2002 and at the moment I am just into the 2nd year of my PhD research.

I am fanatic about food, especially traditional (and authentic, most importantly) Chinese cuisine. So you are more than appreciated to share your cooking tips or list of wonderful restaurants.

Despite my science & engineering background, I find myself increasing fond of history (of ancient civilisations, in particular). Will definitely visit Greece and Egypt once I manage to find a timeslot.
